Before you proceed to submit data for your renewal application and pay the service fees . Please confirm that you have understood the fees and renewal times. The website is operated by Immigration TS (ITS) as a specialist non government external support company and not the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Renewal applictions require approval of both agencies and you may be required to attend renewal interview.

Applicants for NEXUS renewal should expect significant delays in application processing times of up to 24 months in some cases, where an interview is required and limited appointment availability at NEXUS Enrollment Centers.

Additionally

Due to a significant increase in application volume, the grace period has been extended to 24 months for any renewal applications submitted and CERTIFIED BEFORE EXPIRATION DATE.

This means you can continue to use your existing NEXUS and will receive full benefits for 2 years while CBP & CBSA is finalizing your 5 year renewal application.

You should be aware that there is NO GRACE PERIOD for a LAPSED/EXPIRED NEXUS.

NEXUS is a 5 year voluntary program available to those who pass a new comprehensive background check and have no disqualifying criminal history. THERE IS NO AUTOMATIC RIGHT TO RENEWAL APPROVAL

- You provide false or incomplete information on the application.
- You have been convicted of any criminal offense or have pending criminal charges to include outstanding warrants (including driving under the influence).
- You have been found in violation of customs, immigration, or agriculture regulations or laws in any country.
- You are the subject of an investigation by any federal, state, or local law enforcement agency.
- You are inadmissible to the United States under immigration regulations.
- You have waivers of inadmissibility or parole documentation.
- You cannot satisfy CBP or Canada Border Services Agency of your continued low-risk status or cannot meet other program requirements
