- The Camp Scholarship program is made possible by the USTA Eastern Section and tennis camps that donate camp sessions. Pursuant to NCAA rules, we are prohibited from offering scholarships to camps located on college campuses to players over the age of 12 and/or enrolled in high school in September 2014. This includes camps offered by Nike, Adidas and Wilson.
  
  The criteria for the applicant are as follows:
  
  - All complete applications must be received by May 7, 2014.
  
  - Eligibility is based on financial need. Please submit copy of the family’s 2013 or 2012 tax return (1st page of 1040), along with application.
  
  - Applications must also include an essay on the applicant’s tennis goals and how summer tennis camp will affect your game.
  
  - Applications must include one letter of recommendation from an individual who is familiar with the applicant’s character and tennis interest.
  
  - Applicant must be responsible for his/her own transportation to and from the camp.
  
  - Applicant should be sufficiently interested in tennis so that one week of camp and possibly being away from home will not be an obstacle.
  
  - Applicant must be between the ages of 8-17.
  
  - Applicants must reside in the Eastern section.
  
  - Applicant may not have received a USTA Eastern Camp Scholarship in 2013.
  
  - USTA membership is required for all applicants. USTA membership must be valid through 1/31/2015.
  
  Scholarships will be given to those who meet the eligibility criteria on a first come, first served basis. Applicants will be notified on or before June 6, 2014. As camp directors donate, we will update our website with a list of potential camps. Please check our website (www.eastern.usta.com) periodically for the list of donated camps.
