Thank you for choosing to apply to RWIT! Your application is due by 11:59pm on February 1, 2015. Any applications received after that time will not be considered. You should be prepared to submit the following materials:
- Cover Letter
- Resume
- Writing Sample
The Cover Letter should address your reasons for wanting to work for RWIT and your relevant qualifications. It should also illustrate your understanding of the RWIT pedagogy. You can learn more about the RWIT pedagogy in the training materials available in the "For Staff" section on the RWIT website: http://writing-speech.dartmouth.edu/learning/support-writing-research-and-composing-technology/staff.
The Resume should describe your past experiences and current activities - academic, professional, athletic, extracurricular - and any notable skills or achievements. It should also include your current cumulative grade point average at Dartmouth.
Please consult the guidelines from the Center for Professional Development for information about writing a cover letter and resume. The New Dartmouth Resume and Cover Letter Guides are accessible via Dartboard, which can be accessed here: https://www.myinterfase.com/dartmouth/Student/.
The Writing Sample should be a 5-10 page academic paper in the form of a thesis-based essay that incorporates outside sources.
Candidates interested in the Multi-Lingual Collaboration (MLC) may submit a paper in their language of interest in addition to the one required paper.
In addition, we also require one Letter of Recommendation. The recommendation form can be found at the following link: https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/30808785359972. Upperclassmen have the option of submitting two letters.
Recommendations should be submitted by 11:59 pm on February 1, 2015 both via Jotform and to the interim director of RWIT, Nick Van Kley, at Nicholas.B.Van.Kley@dartmouth.edu.
