    Clinical Assistant: Triages patients via phone and schedules appointments; screens and refers phone calls, and communicates with patients for all inquiries; provides clerical, word processing, and staff support to the unit. Obtains imaging authorizations for patients and manages the clinic schedule. This position is merged with medical records and also encompasses those duties. 

    Medical Records Clerk: Creates new medical records and retrieves existing medical records by gathering appropriate record folders and contents; maintains updated files; assists in completing disability forms; answers all queries by searching and retrieving files. This position is merged with clinical assistant and also encompasses those duties.


    Clinic Preparatory Assistant: Gathers all necessary documents and reports needed for the doctor to view during appointments. Works heavily with our EHR software as well as with patients and other doctors offices to achieve this goal.

    Surgical Scheduling: Counsel potential surgery patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Boards patients at the hospital, obtains medical clearance, retrieves authorization from insurance carriers, coordinating with the hospital for screening and more. This is a full-time position only.

    Medical Receptionist: This description encompasses both the check in and check out position. Works the front desk, has a lot of patient interaction, verifies insurance, and checks paperwork. Inputs the doctors’ orders for prescriptions, give and explains referrals and imaging to patients, creates upcoming appointments and sorts electronic documents for the staff and doctors.

    Billing: Billing utilizes ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT codes to bill for services provided by the surgeons. Corrects and submits claims to insurance companies and involved in payment posting. Learns billing practices of specialists (such as credentialing, insurance verification, data entry, etc.) Interacts and communicates with patients regarding account balances. This is a full-time position only.

    IT Specialist: Create and progress through multiple long-term IT projects, manage company servers, keep an inventory of computers, phones, software, perform general maintenance on various pieces of office IT equipment, monitor software and internet usage for compliance of office policy, maintain HIPAA compliance and act as an IT helpdesk for staff and doctors.

    X-Ray Technician: Taking x-ray imaging of patients and assisting patients to the correct position for x-rays. Performing history and physical (H&P) questionnaires. Taking and proper reporting of vital signs and BMI.

    Medical Scribe: Works two-three days in clinic taking notes in patient room with doctors. Works the remaining days in office transcribing doctors notes and working on creating patient’s health record. This is a full-time position only. 

    Research Assistant: Focus on data collection both in clinic and over the phone. Conduct research in the form of patient interviews in order to collect pre- and post-surgical outcomes. Research assistants will also be responsible for performing day to day management of the clinical research databases.   

    Human Resources Assistant: Assists with maintaining work structure in all departments, ensuring legal compliance with federal and state requirements, maintaining office guidelines, completing payroll, and obtaining privileges at hospitals. The HR assistant also helps with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new employees. 

    Residency Program Coordinator: Organizes and coordinates activities and flow of work for the physician neurosurgery residency program. Coordinates and organizes the resident recruitment process. Maintains personnel records. Coordinates special events, educational functions, and recruitment events. Performs administrative functions including scheduling rotations, attending meetings, composing and
    distributing meeting minutes, and scheduling lectures/classes, evaluations and meetings for residents and faculty. This is a full-time position only.
